LEAVERS’ PRODUCTIONS

Reflect TIE runs a full rehearsal process, culminating in a performance of a musical or play as your Year 6 farewell to Primary School. Leavers’ productions can be written to order to suit the personalities/interests of the children involved or, can be a more well-known musical. Once the script has been chosen, Reflect TIE will direct this up to performance standard, using musical theatre practitioners and dance tutors alongside acting coaches to create a professional performance.

Format

A minimum of 10 sessions are required for a Leavers’ Production. This can either be one morning a week for a full school term, or twice a week, spread over half a term. Directors will, initially, meet all of the students who are to be involved and will hold informal auditions to ascertain students’ interests and strengths. After this point, directors would run rehearsals to stage the piece. Class teachers are sent weekly rehearsal plans so that they know which students will be required in each slot and the piece would be ready for performance, with costumes, minimal set and lights, for school and family to come and watch.
